A band can play the concert of their lives, but if the sound is bad, even the best show loses its appeal in the eye of the beholder. For almost 10 years of cooperations with Sennheiser this "relationship" could not be more perfect. The band delivers a performance that has been obtained their familiar, punchy sound through the Sennheiser microphones and gives the concert vistors this nice, comforting feeling in the stomach.

On September 12, 2011 will start the third "Sennheiser Live Mixing Workshop" in cooperation with 4LYN at the "Musikzentrum" in Hanover. The band will be available on September 13 and 14, and can be mixed live by the workshop participants under the direction of the longtime 4LYN-"Master of Sound" Oliver Voges.

Which microphone? What distance to the instrument? Which sound is the right attitude? All these questions are answered to the aspiring and advanced audio engineer in the form of a sound check under live conditions. We are once again pleased to act as an "audiovisual" object during the workshop.

With Sennheiser, as presenter of the next 4LYN "Warm Up Tour" it was obvious to start the tour in the Sennheiser's head office Hanover. So you've always wanted to adjust the 4LYN sound? This workshop is your chance! On September 14, immediately after the workshop, we'll launch the long-awaited tour on which you will get the exclusive opportunity to listen to the new songs from the upcoming 4LYN album through Sennheiser headphones and by enjoying the live show where the band will also play some new songs.

The band was notified that the "Set Us On Fire" - Festival (from August 12/13) in Berlyn got canceled by the organizer. Very sad, but yet one more reason to come to the "4LYN Warm-Up-Tour" - show on September 18, 2011.

The visitors of the Reload Festival didn't care much about the wind, cold and rain last weekend. Despite the bad weather, the fans covered themselves with moshpit-body heat, rain jackets, rubbish bags and ice bear constumes and it was a big honor for 4LYN to increase the temperature even higher. We can barely say, who made the better show - the audience or the band.

The motto "50 minutes directly in your face" was performed until the last tone. So it was hardly surprising, that there was a mass rush to the merchandise booth after the show, where singer Ron spent a lot of time with the fans:

"It's a damn fine thing to see how many people are out there, who can hardly wait for the new album and the upcoming tour", he said afterwards and 4LYN left the festival site with a big grin.

4LYN's next live appearance takes place on July 2, 2011. The Reload Festival in Sulingen (Germany) came up with a hell of a Line Up this year, so it was a necessary consequence that our boys are part of it.

Besides of other bands like Limp Bizkit, Ill Nino and The Bones, 4LYN will make sure that the mob will get their full dose of energy... as usual! The other days are packed with familiar acts, too, such as Papa Roach, Emil Bulls and Daniel Wirtz.

The first festivals were fantastic, and we got the next show on our schedule for tomorrow: On Friday, May 26, 4LYN will play the "Roc le Coq"-festival in Koblenz (at Cafe Hahn) to release some energy to the crowd.

The songwriting for the next 4LYN record is in full swing. Currently, 3 band members go north for putting together the final pieces of the song arrangements and allowing their creativity full bent. Ron will join the group a few days later. We'll give you a report what 4LYN had experienced in the musical "Camp Denmark".

The doors to the international music fair in Frankfurt are open since this morning.
4LYN will be on a mission as well - in cooperation with their partner Sennheiser they will be part of the "Live Mixing Workshop" at the prolight + sound. The band is going to be miked and mixed by experienced FOH and monitor professional. Fair visitors with regular tickets have access to this workshop event. The soundcheck will be realized in Hall 2.0 (PRG / LEA Stage), the Festhalle Frankfurt, on Friday from 6pm. A regular concert will not take place, however. Interested visitors without fair tickets will have the opportunity to print out the following PDF and show this prior to the workshop as a confirmed invitation.

This weeks podcast is all about entering the huge World Expo area in Shanghai. Our four guys have lots of fun while watching the Hamburg House and are also allowed to sign the dignified guestbook. 4LYN are enjoying their day off and take a tour through one of Chinas biggest cities. This is the second of four parts to watch every Sunday in Advent.

Ac­com­pa­ny 4LYN on their jour­ney from Ham­burg to Shang­hai and stay the first night wi­th them in the ho­tel. This is the first of four parts, which will ap­pe­ar every Sun­day in Ad­vent.

Some of you, who watched our "The Good Life Period" DVD, will remember the words out of Ron's mouth: "It was breathtaking, breathtaking and... breathtaking!"

Recently we finished our second successful tour in China and the summery is... yes indeed: breathtaking! We still can't refrain from grinning, when we look back at this emotive trip. Wonderful people, unforgettable impressions and a screaming crowd in front of and behind the stage.

Less sleep and the intense cultural differences couldn't harm us and so we did, what we can do best: releasing energy!

Now we are safely back home in Hamburg! We are going to share this trip with you after we looked through our collected material.
